Architectural Doors
Grabill provides traditional, lift and slide, folding and pivot doors for residential, commercial and historic projects. A door by our standards should have the look and feel of finely handcrafted furniture. The mortise and tenon joint is the cornerstone of our construction technique. The vertical stiles are solid wood veneers and edging over engineered Douglas fir laminated cores, which provide great strength and stability.
We produce our own veneers, allowing us to visually grade each component with respect to grain and color and results in a refined furniture grade door. Our doors can include any combination of insulated glass, art glass, raised panels, flat panels or “v-grooved” panels with tongue and groove construction.Our door frames are rabeted, glued and screwed (using stainless steel screws). No nails or staples are used. Our doors are built to your specifications with few limitations, including sidelites and transoms for complete design flexibility.
