Casement & Awning Windows

Grabill offers casement, awning and hopper windows in a variety of configurations which can be integrated with fixed in frame windows and doors. The operable sash is assembled with mortise and tenon joinery and clad with aluminum extrusions for a total sash thickness of 3”.

To keep the elements on the outside, the sash is sealed with two uninterrupted weather seals and glazed with sealant placed in a dual durometer EPDM glazing gasket. European in-swing and American out-swing operation is available. These windows are also available in all-wood or bronze clad.

Out-Swing
Our out-swing casement window is operated by using a bronze push bar or a high quality roto-operator and is supported by concealed stainless steel hinges.

In-Swing
Our contemporary styled in-swing window is operated by a single lever, allowing the window to swing in like a door. Our stainless steel multi-point hardware system ensures a tight seal while providing additional security and increased sash stability for oversized units.

Insect screens are installed on the exterior as a fixed or retractable screen. The in-swing window is also available in all-wood or bronze clad and is compatible with a wide selection of lever designs, from modern to rustic.

Since our in-swing casement systems do not have fixed vertical dividers between sashes, they are ideal for meeting egress requirements while still maintaining elegant sash proportions.

Our heavy duty extruded aluminum cladding contains over 90% recycled material, is locally produced, and can be anodized or powder coated in virtually any color.

Finish

Powder Coating Environmentally friendly
An environmentally friendly finishing option, because almost no volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) are emitted during the curing process. Very durable and resistant to abrasion, chipping, cracking and peeling. Color selection is nearly unlimited. Note dark colors may have a tendency to fade over time.

Liquid Paint
Paint is available in a vast array of colors and types and can be made to meet the precise requirements of each unique project, may it be color or durability. Grabill uses Kynar 500® and Hylar 5000® which meets AAMA 2605 specification. The AAMA 2605 is a high performance specification made for organic coatings for architectural and heavy commercial applications.

Grabill is proud to partner with Linetec finishing products. As a member of the USGBC, Linetec supports green building finishing through ongoing research and environmentally friendly business practices. Anodize.

Anodizing
Offers a superior aesthetic finish and is an environmentally-friendly product using acid etch technology. We offer 5 standard anodized finishes and custom finishes as project requires.

Screen / Storm

Screen frames are fabricated from anodized aluminum or solid wood with various finish options.

Screen cloth is available in fiberglass, aluminum or bronze wire mesh. Grabill is pleased to include GORETM inLightenTM a window screen made with an ultra-fine material that makes it appear virtually invisible, bringing the outside in with a clearer view, better light and better ventilation.

Retractable Screen is a perfect option for standardized sizes. Screen slides into the natural recess of the door or window frame and virtually disappears when not in use. Screen hardware offers a quite smooth operation and when not in use the screens are protected from dirt, ultra violet light and inclement weather.

Storm windows are a great match for restoration projects using single glazed windows. Screen/storm inserts use the same frame and interchange the screens and storms. Storm windows are made to order for restoration or single glazed window applications.
