Contemporary Windows and Doors

Private Residence

In late 2008 Grabill began the design process with Charles Cunniffe for his long awaited personal residence nestled in the Red Mountains of Aspen. The result is a contemporary functional home with clean lines and open views that bring the outside in. For the interior, brushed nickel hardware accented the American Black Walnut that was specifically chosen for its natural dark appearance. A champagne anodized aluminum exterior completed the look while offering a low maintenance solution. Oversized custom doors and windows, with heights reaching 12 feet, are a common feature throughout the residence. A sophisticated aluminum clad pivot door adorns the entrance, and massive lift and slide glass walls seamlessly extend the living space beyond the interior. Direct set, clerestory and motorized awning windows harmoniously blend with the interior while capturing the breathtaking mountain views.
